Real Madrid star Toni Kroos sends message to Jürgen Klopp’s next club

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has this evening moved to reveal his admiration for soon-to-be-former Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp.

The name of tactician Klopp, of course, has dominated the European football headlines over the course of the last week.

This comes after the German announced his intention to step down from his post as Liverpool boss upon the close of the campaign.

Adamant that he can no longer fulfill his role at Anfield to the level required, Klopp also confirmed that he plans to take a year out from football in 2024/25.

And yet, over the days since, speculation has continued to swirl that a number of the continent’s top clubs – chiefly Barcelona – are keen to bring the 56-year-old in with a view to next season.

Though as much looks unlikely to come to fruition, one individual of the opinion that whoever does ultimately land Klopp will be securing for themselves a wonderful presence on the touchline, comes in the form of the aforementioned Toni Kroos.

Speaking on ‘Einfach mal Luppen’, the personal podcast run by he and his brother (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), the midfield maestro sent a message to his fellow countryman’s future employers:

“Congratulations to whoever is able to sign Klopp now.”

From here, Kroos moved to lavish praise on Klopp, too, for both his ‘loyalty’ and ‘dedication’ to the game:

“What can you say about ‘Kloppo’? Although he has been working abroad for years, surveys would say that he is, by far, the most popular coach in Germany and I think that now the same can be said in England. That means something. The recognition he got there is not even enough to describe what he did there. For all Liverpool and football fans, Jürgen Klopp is synonymous with a certain loyalty, above all dedication “, love for the club and success. Now he is a legend in Germany, a legend in Liverpool and in England.”
