Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. is primed for a return to starting duties in the club’s upcoming meeting with RB Leipzig.
Wide-man Vinícius was for his part forced to watch on from home over the weekend, as Real Madrid made short work of Sevilla in a La Liga clash.
This came after the Brazilian was hit with a four-match domestic ban for a red card picked up in Los Blancos’ hard-fought victory over Villarreal the week prior.
Many were quick to reveal their opinions that Real Madrid’s frontline looked far more fluid sans Vinícius’ presence on Sunday, amid what has been an underwhelming recent stretch of form on the 26-year-old’s part.
Speaking during an ensuing appearance in front of the media, José Mourinho was therefore drawn on the possibility of Vinícius being left out against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Portuguese, however, showed little hesitation in assuring:
“Vinícius will start on Wednesday. The decision is made”.
