A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was forced to sit out pre-season training on Tuesday morning, owing to a fitness complaint.
The Blancos star in question? Andriy Lunin.
Preparations for the new campaign were kicked into gear at Real Madrid early last week. Under the watch of new head coach José Mourinho, the club’s first-team stars not called up for international duty at the World Cup made their way to Valdebebas for pre-season training.
These endeavours continued earlier today, as Mourinho’s men were put through their paces in a series of individualised and group activities alike.
As alluded to above, though, playing no part in proceedings in Spain’s capital was shot-stopper Andriy Lunin.
As confirmed by Blancos insider Arancha Rodríguez of COPE:
‘Lunin has not trained with a minor overload, which will not prevent him from playing in Friday’s training test against Alcorcón at Valdebebas.’
