Real Madrid star playing through the pain barrier vs Bayern after receiving injections

A headline member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will be playing through the pain barrier in the club’s showdown with Bayern Munich tonight.

That’s according to Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE, who points towards Jude Bellingham as being the player in question.

Midfielder Bellingham, for his part, was named in Real Madrid’s starting XI to face the aforementioned Bayern on Wednesday, in the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final showdown between the clubs.

This, though, comes despite the England international struggling with a knee issue.

Bellingham, it is claimed, departed Los Blancos’ camp earlier today, to visit a local clinic in Madrid.

As much came with a view to the 20-year-old receiving a series of injections in his troublesome knee, to ensure that he will be able to make it through the 90 minutes without problems.

Though the ailment could well have proven enough to keep Bellingham out of the action against Bayern, the player himself made clear to boss Carlo Ancelotti that he would under no circumstances give up his starting place, another testament to his commitment to the cause in the colours of Real.
