Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé is no longer committed to the cause with the France national team squad.
That’s according to French football insider Romain Molina, who has on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of attacker Mbappé has of course positioned itself centre stage in the headlines in his home country over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the 25-year-old was a headline omission from Les Bleus’ squad for the November international break.
Drawn on the subject of as much during his latest press conference, Didier Deschamps provided a somewhat confusing response, in explaining:
“I had discussions with Kylian and made my decision. It’s better this way. Mbappé wanted to come with us, it’s not because of any other problem.”
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Mbappé, in fact, was far less open to linking up with his fellow countryman than suggested…
As per the aforementioned Romain Molina:
‘The player no longer wanted (wants) to come to the French national team, not to mention the resentment of his “clan” towards Deschamps, and the unease in the group.’
