Real Madrid fans have been waiting with bated breath in recent dsys to discover the punishment Jude Bellingham will recieve for the red card he was handed in his side’s 1-1 draw with Osasuna.
There were reports circulating that the likely suspension could be around four matches, and could even in an extreme case be as high as twelve matches.
Bellingham has gotten off comparatively lightly however, as his ban has been set at two domestic league matches in Spain.
The ban means he will miss Real Madrid’s La Liga fixtures against Girona and Real Betis, during what is a critical time for Ancelotti’s side.
He will however be free to play in tonight’s Champions League return leg against Man City, as the red card was recieved in domestic competition.
The red card was recieved by Bellingham for a vulgar rant towards the referee, but the English star claims innocence, stating that his words were not aimed at the referee.
It is understood that Real Madrid are set to appeal the ban.
