A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has come to the decision to stay put for the season ahead.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.
The name of Spanish international Ceballos of course took its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid earlier in the summer.
This came after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the former Arsenal man had informed the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu of his desire to move on.
Ceballos, amid the intense competition for places in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, was said to have made clear his desire for more regular playing time.
A number of clubs in Spain, in turn, were tipped as potential landing spots for the 28-year-old.
Links, however, had gone somewhat quiet over recent weeks, giving rise to suggestions that, perhaps, Ceballos had been convinced of the merits of staying put.
And, on Friday, precisely as much has been confirmed.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The Madrid number 19 has no other idea in his head than to be a Real Madrid player for the entire season.’
