A member of the sidelined contingent at La Liga giants Real Madrid could yet make what would be a surprise return to action this weekend.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.
Attacker Rodrygo, for his part, was condemned to a spell on the treatment table two weeks ago.
En route to Real Madrid’s 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Osasuna, the Brazilian international was hauled off in evident discomfort during the first-half.
Ensuing medical tests revealed a thigh injury, which was initially tipped to keep Rodrygo out of action for a spell of around a month.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 23-year-old appears to be well ahead of schedule in his recovery.
As per a report from Marca, in fact, Rodrygo could feature in some capacity this weekend, when Real Madrid mark their post-international break return to the pitch against Leganés.
