A long-term member of the injury absentee list at La Liga giants Real Madrid could be afforded his first call-up for half a year against Sevilla this weekend.
The Blancos star in question? Éder Militão.
Stopper Militão is for his part yet to take to the pitch in a competitive setting in 2026/27. After being forced under the knife to deal with a serious hamstring injury late last season, the Brazilian has spent the time since in recovery.
Recent weeks have seen Militão ramp up his comeback efforts, now back out on the grass alongside the rest of Real Madrid’s stars. And the former Porto man’s endeavours in training, as alluded to above, look set to bear fruit for José Mourinho and his staff over the days ahead.
As per a report from Blancos insider Sergio Quirante:
‘Mourinho is thinking of calling up Militão this Sunday for the match vs Sevilla. The Brazilian would return to a call-up 181 days later.’
