Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has revealed that he has been urged to make the move to the money-laden Middle East by former teammate Joselu.
Frontman Joselu for his part brought a close to his 2nd stint on the books of Real this past summer.
After playing a leading role in Los Blancos’ domestic and European double, the experienced frontman opted for a new adventure in Qatar, with Al-Gharafa.
And, if Joselu has his way, he will soon be joined in Al Rayyan by a current member of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks, in Dani Carvajal.
Defender Carvajal is of course currently in the thick of a lengthy recovery process from a torn ACL suffered earlier in the campaign.
The Spanish international, in turn, was this week drawn on his plans for the future upon recovering full fitness.
And Carvajal, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, went on to explain to Esquire:
“If I ever leave Real Madrid, I will not play in Europe. I will not compete against Real Madrid in the Champions League or in Spain. Joselu tells me: I’m waiting for you here. I’m saving the RB spot for you”.
