Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has today provided an insight into who he would rather have in his team – Kylian Mbappé, or Erling Haaland.
The topic, of course, is a relevant one in Spain’s capital at present, amid widespread reports that the Real brass are inching towards an agreement with the former, over the terms of a contract starting in the summer.
Mbappé, in turn, looks likely to be lining out alongside Lunin at the Santiago Bernabéu starting from next season.
And yet, if the Ukrainian had his way, it would be Manchester City frontman Haaland who would be joining him in Spain this summer.
Speaking in an interview with El Chiringuito TV on Friday, Lunin was asked for his opinion on the long-standing debate over the talents of Mbappé, and Haaland.
And the shot-stopper went on to reveal that, given the choice between the pair, at centre-forward, he would opt for the latter:
“As a number 9, Erling Haaland.”
