A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has already begun looking into his options when it comes to a potential summer departure from the club.
The player in question? Dani Ceballos.
Midfielder Ceballos, for his part, only put pen to paper on a new contract at the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer of 2023.
With his game-time having since been severely limited by the wealth of options at the disposal of boss Carlo Ancelotti in the middle of the park, however, the 27-year-old is understood to have come to the realisation that his search for regular football may need to come elsewhere.
Frustrated with what he feels were false promises when it comes to his role in Madrid, Ceballos, as per a report from Relevo, is therefore ‘looking to the future’, with one eye on the exit door.
Though the former Arsenal man has not yet come to the definitive decision to move on, he has asked his representatives to look into all available options with a view to next season.
When it comes to potential summer landing spots, the likes of Italian giants AC Milan and Real Madrid’s city rivals Atlético have both been credited with an interest in Ceballos’ services.
