Real Madrid squad observe minute’s silence in memory of victims of storm in Valencia

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad on Wednesday moved to pay their respects to the victims of the devastating storm in Spain’s Valencian community.

Flash floods, caused by a sudden DANA, hit Valencia and its surrounding regions over the last 24 hours.

The storm is understood to have left at least 60 people dead, with many others injured, too.

Football, for obvious reasons, begins to look altogether unimportant in such circumstances, with La Liga now giving consideration to postponing the planned meeting between Valencia and Real Madrid at Mestalla this weekend.

The powers that be at the latter, meanwhile, are ready to do their part in not only accommodating as much, but affording a helping hand to their Los Che counterparts over the days ahead, too.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, Real Madrid’s playing squad moved to pay their respects to those to have lost their lives.

As showcased in the photo below, Los Blancos’ stars and coaching staff held a minute’s silence prior to their morning training session on Wednesday:
