The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have circled a new name in red amid their ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Nico Williams as the player in question.
Wide-man Nico has of course long been linked with a move to one of Spanish football’s biggest clubs, having been involved in a summer-long saga involving Barcelona in 2024.
In the end, no such move was forthcoming, with the Blaugrana having gone on to bring in Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig instead.
And Barca’s loss, it would appear, could prove to be Real Madrid’s gain…
As per a report from Marca:
‘The young Athletic Club winger has emerged as a very attractive prospect for Real Madrid, who are seriously considering his signing for next season.’
Los Blancos, it is claimed, consider Nico’s €58 million release clause a market opportunity almost too good to turn down, therefore giving real consideration to activating as much over the weeks ahead.
