Real Madrid: Rodrygo injury update post-Alavés

An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has come to the fore. Real, and Rodrygo, were of course back in action a short time ago.

Amid ongoing efforts to reclaim their spot atop the La Liga table, Los Blancos made the trip to the Estadio Mendizorrotza, for a meeting with Alavés.

And, when all was said and done, they climbed back to the summit of the Spanish top flight – by way of goal difference – is precisely what Carlo Ancelotti’s troops managed.

This came in spectacular fashion, as, despite Nacho’s dismissal less than ten minutes into the second half, Lucas Vázquez popped up with the only goal of the game deep into injury time.

On an otherwise superb night for Real, though, as alluded to above, one concern was forthcoming, on the personnel front.

With a full 94 minutes on the clock, frontman Rodrygo was hooked from proceedings, replaced by Dani Ceballos.

As the Brazilian made his way from the pitch, he could be seen in clear discomfort, limping from the field of play.

With Los Merengues currently in the midst of nothing short of an injury crisis, concerns in turn quickly spread surrounding a possible incoming spell on the sidelines for Rodrygo. Though, such fears have been quelled.

As confirmed by DAZN ES, Real’s Brazilian international is ‘fine’.

Rodrygo himself, meanwhile, has since taken to social media, too, looking in good spirits in the dressing room post-match.
