Real Madrid reach Dani Ceballos future decision

The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have come to a decision on the future of a less-seen member of the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Dani Ceballos as the player in question.

Former Arsenal man Ceballos, for his part, has seen his name take its place front and centre in the media chatter heading into the summer.

This comes amid claims that the Spanish international could soon be on the move.

Ceballos is fresh off an altogether underwhelming campaign at the Santiago Bernabéu, which saw him afforded a grand total of just eight starts across all competitions.

It has in turn been suggested that the 27-year-old is ready to seek out an exit, in search of more regular playing time.

Former club Real Betis, meanwhile, have long been credited with an interest in his services.

If the latest word to have surfaced on Sunday evening is anything to go by, however, then, in fact, Ceballos will be going nowhere over the months ahead.

As per the aforementioned MD:

‘As things stand, everything indicates that this summer there will be no Ceballos soap opera.’

The Real brass have made clear their intention to keep hold of the midfielder for next season, aware of the hectic fixture list which awaits.

Not only that, but with Toni Kroos’ departure having opened up fresh space in Carlo Ancelotti’s engine room ranks, Ceballos should be afforded the chance to prove himself worthy of an uptick in minutes.
