Real Madrid not expected to make any January signings

Marca report that Real Madrid are not likely to spend in January to reinforce their squad for the second half of the season.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on clubs across Europe. Madrid are down millions in ticket sales with no fans attending their 80,000 seater Santiago Bernabéu stadium and the club are currently rebuilding their famous stadium into a brand new modern arena.

Marca’s report shows that there will be a reduction in budget and income by approximately €200 million for the year, meaning Los Blancos will stick to the same strategy for January as the summer just gone, when they didn’t sign a single player for the first time since 1981.
