Real Madrid name squad for Manchester City trip

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Monday unveiled the club’s travelling squad for their upcoming showdown with Manchester City.

Real, of course, will mark their return to action on the continent on Wednesday evening.

After clawing their way back to a 3-3 stalemate in the tie’s opener, Los Blancos will make the trip to Manchester, for the 2nd leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash with the aforementioned City.

Safe to say, a monumental performance will likely be required to get the better of Pep Guardiola’s troops, who just last season sent Real packing from Europe’s top club competition by way of a 4-0 drubbing at The Etihad.

All of a Blancos persuasion will therefore no doubt be keen to discover the panel of players set to be depended upon by Carlo Ancelotti in efforts towards precisely that.

As per an official release across the club’s website and social media platforms, the following 22-man squad will be at the disposal of Ancelotti and his coaching staff on Wednesday night:

The only absentees of real note come in the form of sidelined pair Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba, as well as the suspended Aurélien Tchouaméni (who has travelled but will not be eligible to play).
