Talks between Real Madrid and Manchester United for defender Raphaël Varane are at an advanced stage.
United are pushing for a fee below €50 million, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. Madrid are negotiating Varane’s exit price, which shows the willingness of all parties to reach an agreement. This week is believed to be key in the deal.
The centre-back has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League outfit and it was only a matter of time before the LaLiga club were open to negotiating his departure from Madrid, a decade after joining Los Blancos from Lens.
Varane trained with Real Madrid on Monday. His current club were defeated 2-1 by Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday.
