Real Madrid managerial shortlist down to Mauricio Pochettino and Raúl

Real Madrid have adjusted their managerial recruitment strategy after Massimiliano Allegri joined Juventus. The Italian coach was set to replace Zinedine Zidane at the LaLiga club.

According to AS, Mauricio Pochettino has always been a favourite for the role of head coach and it is thought that his philosophy fits in very well with that of the club.

The same report claims that the first moves have already been made to bring the Argentine to Madrid. Real Madrid Castilla boss and club legend Raúl is reportedly the second choice for the job.

Madrid have held talks with former Inter manager Antonio Conte regarding the vacancy, however, it is believed that he is no longer seen as a serious candidate for the position.
