An update on the future of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was provided earlier today, when the Italian addressed the questions from the press.
Earlier in the season there were several questions marks over the future of Ancelotti at Madrid. The head coach was linked to the Brazil job and with a switch to the Saudi Pro League. However, last December he dismissed these rumours by signing a contract extension, which commuted him to Los Blancos until June 2026.
The 64-year-old returned to the Spanish capital in 2021 for his second spell in charge and won a La Liga and Champions League double in his first season back. As reported by Marca, Ancelotti has expressed his happiness to manage such a prestigious club even in difficult moments.
“So far we’ve done very well, we want to continue. We don’t have long to go, two and a half or three months, then we’ll evaluate what we’ve done. So far I can’t reproach anything,” said Ancelotti.
“I like my job and I like it even more at Real Madrid. I think it’s the best club to do this job. In general, suffering is greater than happiness because there are many situations that you have to improve.
“Within the victory there are people who are not happy, a player who doesn’t play and all this affects your happiness. Happiness can be shared with others, but suffering cannot. I am very good because I am in the world team, but the suffering is greater than the happiness.”
