Real Madrid & Liverpool interested in Bayern Munich defender David Alaba

Real Madrid and Liverpool are keen on signing Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Madrid currently lead the race to sign the Austrian international, who is out of contract in the summer and can leave the European champions on a free transfer. Madrid have offered Alaba a long-term contract, believed to be four or five years, hoping to convince him to join Zinedine Zidane’s side over a list of other top clubs who are also keen.

Alaba, 28, wants to leave Bayern and with uncertainty looming over captain Sergio Ramos’s future, Los Blancos have made an initial offer to his representatives regarding a move to the Spanish capital.

Liverpool also reportedly want to sign Alaba and are pushing to make a deal happen. They have also made initial contact with the player’s representatives, however, Alaba’s dream destination is Real Madrid and they are favourites to land his signature.
