Real Madrid-linked Mbappé asked if win over Barcelona could change call to leave PSG

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé was this evening drawn on the possibility that his side’s deep Champions League run could yet see him go back on his decision to move on in the summer.

PSG, and Mbappé, are of course fresh off an outing to remember on the continent.

After making the trip to Spain to take on a Barcelona outfit boasting a 3-2 advantage after last week’s quarter-final opener at the Parc des Princes, the French champions turned things around, in some style…

Taking full advantage of Barca being reduced to ten men during the first-half, Luis Enrique’s troops found the net on four occasions, to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The aforementioned Mbappé, for his part, was responsible for two of PSG’s goals on the night, taking his tally for the term to an eye-watering 41.

Speaking to the media post-match, though, it came as little surprise when the subject of his future quickly took its place centre stage once more.

The 25-year-old’s decision to bring a close to the PSG chapter of his career this summer has of course long been made public, with Mbappé and his entourage locked in advanced negotiations over an impending move to La Liga with Real Madrid.

Asked whether tonight’s victory, and the French champions’ impressive European run, could see him go back on his decision to depart, however, the frontman was unwavering in his response:

“Can today’s win change my decision? No, no.”
