Former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has taken to social media, to reveal his appreciation for the latest efforts of ex-teammate Luka Modrić.
This, of course, comes after the latter was responsible for a moment of absolute magic during Real’s most recent outing.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops played host to Girona on Sunday evening, ultimately emerging on the right side of a 2-0 result to keep pace with Barcelona atop the La Liga table.
And Modrić, for his part, was responsible for opening the scoring in the matchup.
After picking the ball up 30 yards from goal, the 39-year-old directed an unstoppable bending half volley into the far corner of the Girona net.
Messages of congratulations have since come pouring in for Modrić, who, despite his age, continues to represent a source of consistent brilliance in Real Madrid’s midfield.
And as alluded to above, late on Sunday, adding his name to this group was one of the midfielder’s former teammates, in Karim Benzema.
Taking to the comments section of Modrić’s latest Instagram post, frontman Benzema wrote:
‘N10 crazy brother’, alongside a trio of fire emojis.
