Real Madrid injury update: Arda Güler, Fede Valverde, Ferland Mendy & Vinícius Jr

Updates on the fitness of a number of members of Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad have been forthcoming this evening.

Real, of course, have endured nothing short of a nightmare on the injury front across the season to date.

Los Blancos have already lost all of Thibaut Courtois, Éder Militão and David Alaba to respective ACL ruptures.

Vinícius Júnior, Arda Güler, Dani Carvajal, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga and more, meanwhile, have also been forced into lengthy spells out of action.

So, ahead of their final fixture of the calendar year, against Alavés this weekend, what is the status of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad?

Dani Carvajal

Continuing his recovery from a calf problem. Expected to make his comeback against Mallorca on January 3rd.

Vinícius Júnior

Ahead of schedule in his recovery. Could feature against Atlético Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on January 10th.

David Alaba

Set to undergo surgery in Austria on Tuesday.
