The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week taken significant steps towards the signing of a leading summer transfer target.
That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Dean Huijsen as the player in question.
The name of defender Huijsen has of course proven an increasingly prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over recent months.
This comes amid mounting claims that the 19-year-old has been earmarked as a key transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Real Madrid.
Huijsen, for his part, is in the midst of something of a breakout campaign in England.
After making the move to Bournemouth from Italian heavyweights Juventus, the stopper has quickly established himself as one of the Cherries’ star performers, impressing the masses with his efforts in and out of possession alike.
Amid their ongoing search for reinforcements in central defence, Real Madrid, in turn, have long been keeping a close eye on Huijsen’s development.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Los Blancos now appear ready to ramp up their pursuit.
As per a report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Real Madrid had a direct contact with Dean Huijsen’s camp and player’s priority is confirmed. Real also registered release clause details: £50m to be paid in 3 installments, not in one solution.’
