Real Madrid ‘have an agreement’ with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies

A fresh insight into the efforts of Spanish giants Real Madrid to land Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich has been provided this afternoon.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, who point towards a significant development in the operation.

It is of course common knowledge that Real have identified Davies as a prime transfer target, with a view to next season.

Keen to reinforce the left-back options at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich’s star stopper is viewed as the ideal addition for present and future alike.

In turn, negotiations have long been opened with all of Davies himself, the Canadian’s entourage, and the brass at the Allianz Arena.

And though the latter continue to stand firm in their insistence that the 23-year-old is not for sale, Davies, evidently, is more open to the prospect of taking on a new challenge in La Liga.

As per the aforementioned Relevo:

‘Madrid has closed an agreement with the Bayern full-back.’

It is added that Davies’ name is now being discussed with the same frequency in Real’s dressing room as that of Kylian Mbappé, so hopeful are Los Merengues’ stars of the former Vancouver Whitecaps talent’s arrival.

And yet, those in the boardroom at the Santiago Bernabéu remain ‘cautious’ of getting ahead of themselves.

This comes with Bayern not yet ready to give up hope of Davies changing his mind and staying put.

Ahead of the expiration of his terms in Bavaria in the summer of 2025, however, the clock is certainly ticking when it comes to the Germans’ chances of securing any form of return for one of world football’s finest full-backs.
