La Liga giants Real Madrid have been afforded a timely boost on the personnel front, ahead of their upcoming showdown with city rivals Atlético.
This comes amid confirmation that Federico Valverde is now considered back to 100% fitness.
Midfielder Valverde has of course endured a difficult last couple of weeks, in and out of Real Madrid’s matchday squads owing to a niggling injury concern.
The Uruguayan featured from the off at right-back in last week’s Madrid Derby, but departed proceedings late on with a limp, before taking his place on the bench against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.
Ahead of Wednesday’s return leg showdown with Atlético, those of a Blancos persuasion will, in turn, no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word stemming from Valdebebas.
As per a report from Diario AS:
‘For Valverde, these have been complicated weeks. But the matter has come to an end. He is recovered. And he will be a starter tomorrow at the Metropolitano, the big night, occupying the right-back spot.’
