Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday evening moved to lavish collective praise on a member of the club’s defensive ranks.
The player in question? Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a league meeting with Villarreal.
Alexander-Arnold was afforded just his third start of the La Liga season for the matchup, favoured over summer signing Denzel Dumfries by José Mourinho.
And the former Liverpool man has since responded by showcasing precisely why he was afforded a fresh chance to show off his unquestionable talents.
Whilst Real Madrid, as a collective, have largely struggled to break down their opponents, Alexander-Arnold has produced a number of wonderful pinpoint passes, one of which afforded Kylian Mbappé the opportunity to open the scoring.
And such exploits have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of the Blancos faithful, who have been quick to highlight the difference in profile between the Englishman and right-back competition Dumfries:
