Real Madrid fans can rest easy: Kylian Mbappé talks ‘at the final stage’

Those of a Real Madrid persuasion desperate to see Kylian Mbappé land at the club this summer need not fret.

This comes amid confirmation that a deal to bring the France international in with a view to next season is on the verge of completion.

The name of frontman Mbappé has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Spain’s capital over the course of the last 24 hours.

As much comes after Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique set alarm bells ringing, in hinting that the Ligue 1 champions’ chances of keeping hold of their talisman may not have come to an end just yet.

“I continue to hope that Kylian changes his mind, he hasn’t done anything yet, he can change his mind,” Enrique explained during an interview with Prime Video Sport France.

“Imagine that we win all four titles this season and Kylian Mbappé decides at the last moment that his place is in Paris…Why not? We’ll see.”

As alluded to above, though, any fears to have been sparked by Enrique’s comments have since been firmly quelled, courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on his official YouTube channel late on Saturday night, Romano confirmed that negotiations between Real Madrid and Mbappé’s entourage are “at the really final stages”.

The deal, as a result, can be considered “more than advanced”, with it simply a matter of time before a definitive agreement is struck.
