Real Madrid dealt midfield blow during Rayo Vallecano clash

Real Madrid have this afternoon been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that a key member of the club’s midfield ranks is set to be suspended next time out.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

France international Camavinga was afforded his latest start on Sunday, as Real made the trip to the Estadio de Vallecas for a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

The 21-year-old headed into proceedings in the knowledge that he was walking the disciplinary tightrope, having accumulated four yellow cards across the season to date.

In turn, it came as a hefty blow when, shortly after the hour mark this evening, Camavinga was booked once more.

As much means that he will be unavailable for Los Blancos’ next outing, when they play host to Sevilla on Sunday, February 25th.

With Jude Bellingham in the midst of a spell on the sidelines through injury, Carlo Ancelotti may well be forced to get creative with his engine room setup, as a result.

Turning attentions back towards matters in Puente de Vallecas, Real and Rayo are currently locked at a goal apiece, after Joselu’s early opener was cancelled out by Raúl de Tomás at the other end.
