The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have set their sights on an up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at city rivals Atlético.
Not only that, but Los Blancos are understood to be increasingly optimistic when it comes to striking a deal.
The player in the sights of Florentino Pérez and co? Yeremaiah Ramos.
Ramos, for his part, is a 15-year-old attacker, who spent this past season lining out in the Cadet Honor Division.
And, safe to say, the frontman went on to make his mark, racking up 33 goals to cruise to top scorer honours, as his Atlético side bagged the title ahead of Real Madrid.
15 of these goals came in Ramos’ final five appearances of the term, including four in his last outing alone.
And as much, evidently, did not go at all unnoticed amongst those on the other half of the Madrid divide.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Real Madrid are trying to convince him to change clubs and there is optimism in Valdebebas.’
In what would mark an even heavier blow for Atléti, should any move come to fruition, it would be by way of a free transfer, with Ramos, at just 15, yet to sign a professional contract.
