Real Madrid chief scout sends request to key transfer target Alphonso Davies

A member of the scouting department at Real Madrid has this week forwarded a request to Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, amid the club’s ongoing efforts to bring the Canadian international to La Liga.

It is of course common knowledge that Real have identified Davies as their prime transfer target, with a view to next season.

Keen to reinforce the left-back options at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich’s star stopper is viewed as the ideal addition for present and future alike.

To this point, the German champions have showed little openness when it comes to the possibility of parting with Davies any time soon.

But the 23-year-old has seemingly not closed the door on a move away from the Allianz Arena, in rebuffing the efforts of the Bayern brass to tie him down to fresh terms.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, those in a position of power at Real Madrid intend to use this situation to their advantage.

As per a report from Sky Germany, cited by Diario AS, Blancos chief scout Juni Calafat has personally asked Davies to stand firm in his refusal to sign a new contract in Bavaria.

This comes ahead of an imminent summer offer for his signature, with Real hopeful that the defender’s unwavering stance will leave Bayern with little choice but to bid farewell to Davies for a sum in the region of €40-50 million.
