Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez sends message to Barcelona midfielder Gavi

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has put rivalries aside, to send a message of support to Barcelona midfielder Gavi.

This, of course, comes after the midfield starlet suffered a season-ending injury whilst on international duty over the weekend.

After being afforded his latest start for Spain in the country’s meeting with Georgia, Gavi lasted just 25 minutes, before limping from the field of play in agony.

Ensuing medical tests revealed a torn ACL, as well as meniscus damage, in his right knee.

News of the severity of Gavi’s injury has since seen well-wishes pour in from around the globe, on the part of fans, players, and media personalities alike.

And, as alluded to above, today, yet another high-profile name has followed suit.

As per a report from Cadena Cope, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has forwarded a personal message to Gavi, on the part of all associated with Los Blancos.

The message in question offers ‘support and encouragement’ to the 19-year-old during what is no doubt a ‘difficult time’ in his fledgling career.
