Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé kept his cards close to his chest on Friday, when drawn on the possibility of linking up with Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.
The explosive attacker did, though, hint at when he expects a long-awaited announcement regarding his future to be forthcoming.
It is of course world football’s worst-kept secret that frontman Mbappé is all set to take his talents to La Liga, with Real Madrid this summer.
After informing PSG of his decision not to renew his expiring contract at the Parc des Princes, the France international has since been locked in negotiations with the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu, over the terms of a long-term deal starting from next season.
Widespread reports have pointed towards an agreement as being all but imminent between the parties, with the framework of a wage packet having already been drawn up.
During an appearance in front of the media on Friday afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his future beyond the summer was put to Mbappé himself once more.
Initially, the 25-year-old was coy, in simply responding that:
“I have nothing to announce.”
He did provide at least some kind of insight into the timeline regarding an announcement on his plans, though, in adding that:
“I think my future will be resolved before the Euros.”
