Real Madrid boss Ancelotti confirms how he will use Jude Bellingham for season ahead

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has this weekend provided an insight into his plans to make use of the talents of Jude Bellingham this coming season.

As much, of course, comes amid long-standing chatter surrounding the subject.

Bellingham is for his part fresh off a scintillating debut campaign in Spain’s capital, which saw the 21-year-old secure for himself La Liga Player of the Season honours.

This came with the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti having utilised Bellingham in an attacking midfield role, often likened to that of a traditional no.10.

The situation in Madrid, however, has since changed.

With Toni Kroos having opted to call time on his career, and Kylian Mbappé through the door, Bellingham has been widely tipped to drop into a deeper ‘8’ berth in the middle of the park.

Speaking to the media this weekend, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his plans for the England international over the season ahead was put to Ancelotti himself.

And Real’s headmaster was unwavering in his response, explaining:

“Bellingham has a free role, he has freedom.”
