Two of Spanish football’s leading clubs are expressing a keen interest in the signature of Bologna star Sam Beukema.
That’s according to Italian transfer Gianluca Di Marzio, who has this weekend provided an insight into the race for the Dutchman’s services.
Beukema, for his part, has spent the early weeks of the new season solidifying his status as one of Serie A’s standout defenders.
After impressing across his debut season in Bologna colours in 2023/24, the 26-year-old has taken his game to a completely new level this time round.
In fact, as of this moment, Beukema leads all Serie A defenders in the categories of completed passes, aerial duels won and defensive closures per game.
And such efforts on the part of the centre-half have not gone at all unnoticed across the continent.
As per a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are both expressing a keen interest in Beukema’s signature with a view to next season.
And the capital duo are joined in the hunt by a number of clubs from the Premier League, as well as both Juventus and Inter Milan.
