La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Thursday made public the club’s financial efforts to aid the victims of this week’s devastating storm in Valencia.
The Valencian community, and its surrounding regions, were on Tuesday night hit by a sudden and devastating natural disaster.
As much came after a DANA – a high-altitude isolated depression – gave rise to flash floods.
The death toll is already approaching the 100-mark, with many others still thought to be missing, and injured.
With the city now in an official state of mourning, it therefore came as little surprise when La Liga this afternoon announced that the decision had been made for Valencia’s scheduled meeting with Real Madrid to be postponed.
And, as alluded to above, hours on, the board at the latter have done their part to aid those most in need at present.
As announced by Real Madrid, and since relaid by Fabrizio Romano, Los Blancos have forwarded a generous donation of €1 million to the victims of the storm.
