Real Madrid and Valencia players left shaken after horror Mouctar Diakhaby injury

The La Liga meeting between Valencia and Real Madrid on Saturday evening has been marred by a horror injury for a key member of the former’s backline.

The player in question? Mouctar Diakhaby.

Late in proceedings at the Mestalla, stopper Diakhaby went to ground in the home side’s penalty area, in evident pain.

It quickly became clear that something was very wrong, upon players from both sides placing their hands upon their heads, looking in utter shock at what they were witnessing.

Ensuing replays revealed that Diakhaby had fallen victim to a completely accidental challenge on the part of Aurélien Tchouaméni, which saw the Frenchman land body first on the planted leg of the Los Che standout.

Immediate reports inside the Mestalla have pointed towards a major injury for Diakhaby, amid suggestions that the 27-year-old has broken his right leg.

All at Get Spanish Football News wish Diakhaby a speedy recovery.
