La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Wednesday announced an important contract renewal in the club’s first-team squad.
The player to have committed his long-term future to the Verdiblancos? Abde Ezzalzouli.
Attacker Abde, for his part, has played a leading role for Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis over the early months of the new season.
All told, in the club’s 15 fixtures across all competitions, the 22-year-old has featured in some capacity in each and every one, afforded starts in all but four.
Across these outings, Abde has racked up a none-too-shabby four goals, too, proving himself a key contributor in the final third amid the sorely-felt absence of Isco.
And such endeavours, adding to a solid debut campaign, have evidently proven sufficient to convince those in a position of power in Heliópolis of the former Barcelona talent’s readiness to contribute in the long-term.
This comes amid confirmation that Abde has signed a new contract, tying him to Real Betis all the way through the summer of 2029.
As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Real Betis Balompié and Ez Abde have reached an agreement to extend the contract of the Moroccan international. In this way, the Betis player extends his contract with the club until 2029.’
