Real Betis star Johnny Cardoso is hopeful of marking his return to the pitch in the club’s meeting with Barcelona early next month.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the midfielder’s wellbeing.
Johnny for his part set pulses racing amongst those of a Real Betis persuasion late last week.
This came upon the 23-year-old being forced into a premature departure from the United States national team’s meeting with Jamaica.
He has since been diagnosed with a ‘moderate muscle injury in his left hamstring,’ which is expected to keep Johnny out of action for two to three weeks.
As much would mean the midfielder sitting out a minimum of four fixtures with Betis.
The hope of Manuel Pellegrini and co. is in turn that Johnny will be back available for selection to feature from the off in the Verdiblancos’ La Liga meeting with table-topping Barcelona on December 7th.
