La Liga outfit Real Betis have this week been dealt a setback on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that defender Hector Bellerín has been ruled out of the final weeks of the campaign through injury.
Former Arsenal man Bellerín, for his part, was introduced off the bench on Thursday night, as Betis locked horns with Fiorentina with a place in the final of the Europa Conference League on the line.
En route to an eventual 2-2 draw, enough to guide the Verdiblancos through, though, the right-back was hauled off prematurely.
This came after Bellerín pulled up clutching his hamstring.
And as much, it has today been revealed, has proven enough to bring an end to the Spaniard’s campaign.
Speaking in his latest press conference in front of the media on Saturday, Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Bellerín will not be available again until next season, due to ‘a moderate injury to the middle and distal third of his right hamstring’.
