A member of the defensive ranks at Barcelona is attracting transfer interest from La Liga rivals Real Betis.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Gerard Martín as the player in question.
Left-back Martín has of course emerged as a regular in the first-team picture at Barcelona across the season to date.
After catching the eye of the incoming Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has been afforded ten appearances across all competitions, including a trio of La Liga starts.
And, evidently, such exploits have not gone unnoticed across the Spanish football landscape.
As per Sport, Martín is attracting interest by way of the transfer team at fellow La Liga outfit Real Betis.
The Verdiblancos are on the lookout for reinforcements at left-back, with Martín’s status as 2nd-choice in Catalunya’s capital having seen him emerge as a leading target.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are seen as open to negotiations, albeit next summer, rather than in January.
