La Liga outfit Real Betis have tied up a deal to add to the club’s youth ranks with a view to next season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have this week provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
The player all set to take his talents to Betis comes in the form of Sander Ballero.
Ballero, for his part, is a 19-year-old midfielder, who is currently plying his trade on the books of CE Sabadell.
A gifted operator who has long been held in high regard across Spanish football circles, his current terms with Sabadell, however, are due to come to an end in the summer.
With attempts on the part of the Catalan outfit to tie their midfield starlet down to a new deal having proven unsuccessful, Ballero, in turn, has long been inching towards an imminent exit.
And, as alluded to above, this week, as much has been confirmed.
As per the aforementioned MD, the brass at La Liga outfit Real Betis have reached an agreement with the Spaniard and his entourage, over the terms of a pre-contract.
Ballero will commit to the Verdiblancos for the next three seasons, initially expected to take his place in the club’s academy setup.
