Real Betis request summer signing of Barcelona star as compensation for Vitor Roque exit

The brass at Real Betis have asked La Liga rivals Barcelona for the loan signing of a member of the Blaugrana’s attacking ranks this summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Pau Víctor as the player in question.

Betis and Barcelona are of course in the thick of an intense round of negotiations at present.

As much comes with a view to Vitor Roque bringing an early end to his loan stint with the former, to secure a permanent move back to Brazil with Palmeiras ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

Real Betis have, understandably, demanded compensation for their part in any potential deal, with an insight into the latest request laid out by the Verdiblancos having this evening been provided.

The info comes courtesy of MD, who confirm:

‘Betis are negotiating the possibility of taking on the loan with an option to buy of Pau Víctor this summer, a player whom they already wanted to sign in the last winter transfer market.’

Barcelona are yet to green light as much, but discussions between the parties are ongoing.
