The powers that be at La Liga outfit Real Betis are expressing a keen interest in the signature of an up-and-coming Brazilian starlet.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
The player to have made his way firmly onto the radar of the Betis brass comes in the form of Wesley Gassova.
Gassova, for his part, is an 18-year-old winger, who is currently plying his trade with heavyweights Corinthians, in his home country of Brazil.
Widely regarded as a potential star in the making, the São Paulo native has been hailed for his directness and versatility, which allows Gassova to line out anywhere across the frontline.
Having recently begun to solidify himself in Corinthians’ first-choice XI, despite his tender years, speculation surrounding a potential move to Europe has inevitably already begun to spread.
And leading the queue of clubs keen on Gassova’s services, it is understood, are the aforementioned Real Betis.
As per ED, the Verdiblancos have ‘set their sights’ firmly on the young Brazilian with a view to the summer.
Contacts, in turn, have already been initiated with Gassova’s entourage, which has only culminated in the Spanish outfit’s interest ‘growing’ yet further.
