Real Betis handed Isco boost ahead of Rayo Vallecano clash

All associated with Real Betis will no doubt be thrilled to learn of the latest news stemming from the club’s training ground.

This comes amid confirmation that star midfielder Isco has linked back up with the rest of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

Former Real Madrid man Isco has not featured in a competitive setting since early last month, owing to a hamstring injury suffered in a La Liga meeting with Getafe.

As per a report from Diario Sport, however, on Monday, Isco was spotted back out on the grass at Betis’ training centre for the first time.

Should his recovery continue along its current trajectory, it is in turn not out of the question that the 31-year-old could feature in his side’s upcoming weekend meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Elsewhere on the injury front in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, both Aitor Ruibal and Abner were also given the green light to return to partial training on Monday, following respective spells out of action.

Full-back pair Youssouf Sabaly and Juan Miranda, though, were absent owing to fitness problems picked up against Villarreal over the weekend.
