La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday announced a fresh personnel blow in the club’s first-team ranks.
The Verdiblancos star set for an incoming spell on the sidelines? Youssouf Sabaly.
Full-back Sabaly for his part featured from the off once more over the weekend, notching his 12th start of the La Liga campaign in Betis’ meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
En route to an eventual 3-1 defeat, however, the Senegalese was forced into a premature departure from the action.
And an explanation for precisely why has since been forthcoming online.
As confirmed in a statement across Real Betis’ website and social media platforms, Sabaly has picked up a hamstring injury:
‘Following tests carried out by the Club’s medical services on our player Youssouf Sabaly, a moderate myofascial injury to the right semimembranosus muscle was confirmed.
‘His return to group work will depend on the progress of his recovery process.’
