A fresh twist has on Friday been noted in the long-time saga, linking Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies with a move to Spain with Real Madrid.
This comes amid confirmation that relations between Bayern and the entourage of the Canadian international have taken a turn for the worse.
Recent weeks had of course seen it widely reported that Davies was inching towards staying put in Bavaria beyond next summer.
Amid ongoing efforts on the part of the Bayern brass to extend the expiring terms of their defensive star, Davies, all of a sudden, was said to be open to staying put for the long-term.
All of a Bayern Munich persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be dumbfounded by the latest word on the situation to have surfaced on Friday evening.
As per a report from German football insider Christian Falk:
‘The Agent of Alphonso Davies (24), Nick Househ, is angry about the way the negotiations are being conducted by FC Bayern.’
So disappointed has Househ been left by the behaviour of sporting director Max Eberl in particular, in fact, that he now ‘wants to listen to the offers from Manchester United and Real Madrid’.
Meetings with both clubs have been put in place for next month.
