Raphinha uses Camp Nou speech to send message to Barcelona youngster

Barcelona star Raphinha made use of his speech in front of the club’s fanbase to send a message the way of young teammate Roony Bardghji on Wednesday evening.

This of course comes with the Swede fresh off being condemned to a long-term spell on the sidelines.

Barcelona have pencilled in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy for Wednesday, with Egyptian outfit Al Ahly the latest club honoured with an invite to Catalunya’s capital for the fixture.

As is customary, ahead of kick-off in the clash, the club’s captain took hold of the microphone, to speak directly to those in attendance in the Camp Nou stands.

Fresh off being named as Barca’s interim captain by manager Hansi Flick, Raphinha, in turn, was tasked with addressing the Blaugrana faithful this evening.

And as alluded to above, during his speech, the Brazilian international reserved a special mention for teammate and attacking partner Roony Bardghji.

After Bardghji was ruled out for what is expected to be the entirety of the season with a serious knee injury, Raphinha wished the 20-year-old a speedy recovery, assuring that he and the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad will be by his side throughout the process.
